Answer
Turn on the GeoExplorer
- Click on Start/settings/connections/GPSconnector
- Click on setup
- NMEA Output: Internal -COM2
- TSIP Output: set to External-COM1
Click on the wrench, set to TSIP High Speed
- Baud Rate: 38400
- Data Bits: 8
- Â Stop Bits: 1
- Parity: Odd
- click on OK, then OK again
 Don’t close the GPS Connector
Make sure you connect the serial port adapter to the Geo and then cable to the PC
On the PC go to:
- Right click on My Computer and select Properties
- Click on the Hardware tab, select Device Manager and scroll down to Ports(COM & LPT)
Click the + sign next to Ports
- Right click on your serial port or your USB-to-Serial (COM #) and select properties
- Click on the Port Settings tab and make sure you set up as follows
- Bits per second: 38400
- Data bits: 8
- Parity: None
- Stop bits: 1
- Flow control: None
Open Terrasync on the PC
- Go to Setup Menu and select GPS Settings
- Select the same port number as the one assigned to you in the Device
- Click on
- Connect the GPS and start working
