How can I make Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) run on a computer with a Windows 10 Operating System?

My Trimble Geobeacon appears to have frozen and won’t restart. It seems to have stuck after a reset as the beacon is showing a solid red LED and the power is solid amber. Is there a way of recovering it so we can get back on with surveying?

Hi. I work for the Marion County AR 911 office, and we’ve come across an older GeoXM pocket pc that we had stuck back in a drawer. I think it was purchased from Federal Surplus by someone who is no longer employed with us. as such, we don’t have any of the support documents or software that goes with it. I admit i’m not all that knowledgeable about these things, but one of my co-workers took a look at it, and he said it was lacking any actual mapping or data collection software on the device itself. Also, i’m assuming that there must be some sort of software used to sync the device to a desktop pc that we are in need of as well.basically I’m just looking for any information on this device and/or it’s software. pricing, availability, that sort of thing. what we would need to get this unit working and in service. currently we only have the unit itself, which powers on and works fine. it does find satellites and show current coordinates. we have the docking station and the power cable, and i can sort of connect to it using windows mobile device center, and a usb cable i robbed from my printer. you can contact me via my email. any help would be appreciated. hello, I have a GPS Trimble ProXT, worked great, until the controller did not take but the ProXT (data received bluethoot), the 3 LEDs flash simultaneously (amber, red, green and blue) without stopping. Can’t connect for bluethoot or serial cable with the controller and the laptop.the only way to turn off the gps is remove the battery. When you turn on the GPS it is the samethe firmware is 1.84 proxt trimble, but i can’t upgrade

We have six Juno SCs. The connections funtioned perfectly yesterday but PFO will not connect to any of them today. Windows is connecting to the device and I have toggled the USB to PC both ways with no success. The only thing that has changed since yesterday is the location of the license server. Please help.

The OS on our Geo6000 XH is currently 6.5.8. I am trying to update to 6.5.9 so that I can update to 6.5.10. I copied the 6.5.9 pks file to the storage card on the 6000 using Windows Mobile Device Center. I then attempted ot run the pks file from the file explorer. On multiple attempts I recieve the following message: Status: UnsuccessfulThis update could not be installed and has been deleted. Ton continue using your device, click Done.Any insight is appreciated.

I typically store the 2005 on its cradle. Last week I left it in the pouch overnight and when I went to turn it on the next day, it didn’t respond. I ended up doing a hard reset (held the power button down for 60 seconds) in order to get any signs of life from it.When I went to open TerraSync, I was unable to find the usual location for the program. In File Explorer I searched for “terra” and the only result was the shortcut for TerraSync (the collection program), which did not work. It’s almost as if the program disappeared.The GPS controller works fine, and I am able to see satellites and receive the SBAS signal. Periodically the unit will not turn on and will be remedied either through hard resets, luck, or leaving it alone for a day or two. I know we’re at the end of the useful life of this unit but I really need it to last at least until September.
