- Unzip the files
- Â Open Pathfinder Office
- Set your coordinate system to match the DOQQ
- Go to Options and select Coordinate System
- Configure your system, zone, datum, coordinate units, altitude units:
- Click on OK
- Go to Options and select Coordinate System
- Â Go to File, and select Background
- Click on Add, and navigate to where you stored your DOQQ
- Make sure the Coordinate System is displaying correctly
- If not, click on the change button
- Place a check box next to the DOQQ’s you want to load
- Click on OK
- Set your coordinate system to match the DOQQ
Transfer the DOQQ background image to TerraSync
- Make sure the Data Collector is connected to ActiveSync
- Go to utilities and select data transfer
- Make sure your device type is set to GIS datalogger on windows CE (or activesync) and that it’s connected.
- If it isn’t click on the green check
- Click on the Send tab
- Click on Add, and select Background
- Pick your files
- Click on Open
- Click on OK
- Transfer All
Load Background file into TerraSync
- Open TerraSync
- Change your coordinate system to match the DOQQ
- Go to Setup, and click on Coordinate System
- Configure your system, zone, datum, coordinate units, altitude units.
- Click on OK
- Go to Map
- Click drop down arrow next to Layers and select Background file
- Scroll down and choose your DOQQ
- Click on Ok
